SCOTLAND ELOPEMENT AND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
MANTINA & CALUM – GLEN ETIVE
To begin with we would like to say how lucky we have been to meet such lovely people, with great energy and positive influence on us, in one of our favourite spots – Glen Etive.
She is a person full of enthusiasm and ideas, always looking for new experiences, nothing is impossible for her. We would also like to mention that Mantina is a very talented textile designer (you can find her work here) and a model. She lived and studied textile engineering in France. During that time she had an opportunity to be part of a team that worked on an alternative method of creating a vegan leather which grown in a lab out of 100% natural ingredients from vinegar and tea to natural food dyes.
Calum is a local and lives in Edinburgh, but he grew up on a family farm in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, near Loch Etive. He has passion for sports and especially skiing which is what brought the two together. They met almost 3 years ago on their University ski trip in the French Alps, Val Thorens. Calum’s unique sense of dancing caught Mantina’s attention which is how their story started. Mantina booked this trip without knowing anyone. She lived that time outside of Edinburgh so it was an opportunity to get out of her comfort zone and make new friends, and she was right. Their relationship grew from funny coincidences which brought them closer and closer. To where they are now; traveling, exploring, growing and living together. Since they met, Calum has wanted to show Mantina the beauty of Glen Etive. We met these two halfway to the Highlands in a local B&B. We had really great time talking and laughing and after a cup of coffee, we hit the road. It was late afternoon when we arrived at Glen Etive and we took a walk along the shore to find a perfect spot for Mantina and Calum to read a few words they wrote for each other. It was a cloudy and cold day but that did not worry them at all, they were full of joy and ready for everything.
We had a great time with those two individuals!
